The trade fair was targeted at expanding industrial cooperation with Central Asian countries; determining new benchmarks for industrial development; establishing and strengthening business contacts; setup of joint ventures.
More than 200 exhibitors from around the world showed their products at the fair.
Attendees included representatives of government authorities, industry experts and buyers from Central Asian countries: Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan and Pakistan. In total, there were over 10 thousand visitors, representatives of industry leaders, as well as medium and small businesses.
Andrey Deineko (President), and Igor Chistyakov (Senior Process Engineer) represented METPROM. They held meetings and negotiations with representatives of government agencies, shareholders of large businesses and leading R&D institutes on potential and ongoing projects in the metals industry of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Russia. Issues related to METRPOM's experience in implementing integrated projects in Russia and abroad were discussed.
Agreements were reached on cooperation in the design and construction of new metals & mining facilities.
For example, METPROM and USM representatives discussed cooperation prospects with respect to HBI projects, as well as potential ways to work together on construction of mining facilities.
